Connecting the Wachusett Community with Trails and Greenways 

 

                          

        

    On March 29, 2003, Colin Novick of the Greater Worcester Land Trust led a WG group on a 4 mile exploration of Worcester's wetlands. The hike took us to ponds, wetlands and fields. For lunch we stopped at the Worcester AMC lodge. The hike ended at the Cascades East Conservation area.

On Sunday April 13, 2003, Ed Yaglou led a four mile exploration walk  on the future rail trails of the abandoned Central Mass Rail Road. The walk started at the location of the former train station in New Braintree and westward to Gilbertville (Hardwick). We crossed about three bridges along the way.
