Rosalie Corcoran was an inspiration to all with her enthusiasm, curiosity and gratitude. She encouraged friends and family to grow and to give. She lived with cancer for several years and was a survivor who balanced her need for rest and care with her gift of renewable energy. On December 25, 2007 Rosalie died. Rosalie loved the rail trail and enjoyed countless hours exploring along the Quinapoxet River. Beginning in 1995 Rosalie volunteered for trail clearing and she continued to serve wherever needed. In 2005 she stepped up to chair the Wachusett Greenways first auction. Her next big project was co-chairing the committee which produced the Greenways Seasonings cookbook. Family Fun Days in 2006 and 2007 found Rosalie engaged in activities she could share with children. She applied for and received funding for our first Cultural Arts Council grant for our 2008 Family Fun Day. More than 60 people sent gifts in memory of Rosalie, many with notes speaking of Rosalie as a special blessing in their lives. We are honored that Rosalie chose to share her gifts with us.

Greenways trip to Boston Rose Kennedy Greenway - April 29, 2008

Trip leader: Jack Downs.  A beautiful April rainy day but most stuck it out for the entire time.
The group took the MBTA train from Leominster to North Station in Boston. Lunch was at the Quincy Market place.
It was nice to get out of the rain for a while.
