State Helps Fund Mass Central Rail Trail Construction February, 2009 (From Telegram and Gazette article, Feb. 2) Worcester Telegram & Gazette, Feb. 2, 2009 -- The state Department of Conservation and Recreation will contribute half the cost of a $136,000 bridge project along a stretch of the Mass Central Rail Trail off Route 122, one of 21 projects across the state to which the agency has pledged assistance. A story of the rail trail The Banner, West Boylston, MA, Dec. 4, 2008 -- Wachusett Greenways “StoryWalk” project has moved from the Rail Trail in West Boylston to Sterling for the month of December, but not before it was deemed a rousing success by its sponsors.
