                 The Installation of the Charlotte Kaplan Bridge - June 20, 2002

            

               The bridge arrived in Oakdale June 19, 2002       The next day the heavy crane rode to the installation
                                                                                           spot on the Quinapoxet River.
 

            

The CK Bridge was lowered in place on the new concrete abutments where the former railroad bridge once stood.

 

             

                    Final position adjustments were needed and then the cheers went up. The bridge was finally
                    positioned on its resting place.
