Gengel Construction Co. has completed laying a gravel base on the MCRT in Rutland, MA.
The completed section is between Glenwood Rd. and the end of the Watson Estates.
Indications are that they will return in November to work on more of the trail.
Wachusett Greenways thanks Gengel Const. for their contribution to the MCRT.

 


 

                               

 

Members of the Wachusett Greenways took time off the weekend of September 14 and 15 to bike ride in the Burlington - St. Albans , VT area. The weather was great on Saturday but Sunday was another matter.

The above photo was the mid point of the 25 mile ride on the causeway of the Burlington, VT bikeway.

Work at the Springdale Mill site near the rail trail continues.

            Greenways volunteers help lay gravel and wood chips on the walking path at the mill site while others cleared trees from the former residential housing area on the hill.

            There are scheduled  morning sessions for the next 6 Wednesdays. September 25, and October 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30, 9:00-12:00 AM. Everyone is welcomed that can help. Meet at the mill village. Bring gloves, and big loppers if you have them.
